I’m running for the Marion County Comission
I hope that 2017 has been treating you well.
After the wild year that we had in 2016, I have been happy to get back to work and to be able to spend more time with my family. But I haven’t forgotten your friendship, or your willingness to stand up for our conservative values last year.
That is why I wanted you to be the first to know that after prayerful consideration I’ve decided to run for an open seat on the Marion County Commission.
The Commission is a three-person board that oversees an annual budget of approximately $400 million. This includes oversight of our Sheriff’s office, the District Attorney’s office, land use planning and transportation in Marion County, and our public health department.
It is a position where I believe I can make a real difference and most importantly Marion County is a place that I care deeply about. I have many happy memories here in Marion County. It is also a place where we have real support. In my race last year I earned more votes in the general election here than either Hillary Clinton or Kate Brown.
Because this is an open seat, no one has an incumbent advantage. And, because of the work that we did last year, I will start off as the front runner. But I can’t do it without your help.
With you by my side, I’m confident that we can build the momentum that will take us to victory and put our County and our State back on our side.
I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your support
May God bless you always,
