A Helping Hand

Last week, I attended the grand opening of St. Monica Apartments in Keizer. The St. Monica Apartments will provide a safe home for pregnant and parenting moms who have chosen life for their children. This facility was made possible through the generosity of many donors in Marion County with the support of the Board of Commissioners.

I serve on the board of directors of the Catholic Community Services Foundation which spearheaded this effort. I am so grateful for the leadership of Jim Seymour and Catholic Community Services for all they do for young mothers in Marion County. They work hard to strengthen our community.

After a few days of rest, I am ready once again to campaign hard for every vote in Marion County.

I want to help ensure rural Marion County can thrive. That's why I'm fighting to stop the federal government from shutting down Detroit Lake.

I want to be a leader in the fight to end homelessness. That's why I support public-private partnerships with proven community organizations to help provide housing and other services to those in need.

I want to ensure Marion County spends your tax dollars wisely. That's why I will advocate every day for fiscal discipline in county government.
