Oregon Education Ranking Drops Under Schrader’s Watch
Sinks to 48th in Nation

Salem, OR — Today, The Oregonian reported that Oregon’s high school graduation rate has sunk to third worst in the country. At the same time, the national graduation rate has reached a record high. While much of the country has seen improvements in graduation rates, Oregon has not. This is an issue Kurt Schrader has utterly failed to address. Colm Willis, candidate for Congress in Oregon’s 5th district expressed a need for change for education in Oregon.

“Kurt talks a lot about what he has done for education, but it doesn’t seem to be working. This latest report further proves that we need to change direction to ensure our kids get a quality education.” Willis said.

A native Oregonian, Willis is the Republican candidate for Congress in Oregon’s 5th Congressional District. The general election will be held on November 8, 2016.
