Meet Team Willis

Things are heating up as we head into the summer. Just this week, we finalized our campaign team for the general election!

Christian Hooper is an intern with my campaign. He is a senior at George Fox University. He is currently studying politics and playing football there as he gets ready to graduate this coming spring. After he graduates, Christian hopes to be commissioned as an officer in the United States Army.

Reagan Knopp has been serving in the role of Digital Director since my campaign started. You might remember he served as my campaign manager in 2016. Reagan has been campaigning and doing graphic design for over six years now and is a great asset to our team.

Zachary Sielicky is our newest addition and will be taking the role of campaign manager. Zachary is a recent graduate from the University of Oregon with a degree in Political Science and History and comes to us with experience in public policy, data analysis, and volunteer coordination.

An Update on Water

On June 25th, the City of Salem moved the water advisory from Do not Drink to Vulnerable Advisory. Though the drinkability of the water has increased for some, it does not negate the problem that still faces many of the more vulnerable citizens of Salem. The lack of safe water in Salem has become a serious problem and a major inconvenience for citizens. We need to make changes now to ensure that we can test our water more quickly and have an immediate alternative solution for Salem residents when the tests come back with high toxin content. And we must ensure that a crisis like this does not happen again.

Campaign Benchmarks

With election day merely 130 days away, we are forging ahead with phone calls, canvassing, and meeting with the people who make Marion County great. I’ve met with community leaders, small business owners, and working families. Every day, I hear about how much they love Marion County. I will run a strong campaign to protect our way of life.

We have made almost 600 calls to voters so far, and have raised over $100,000, but we still need to finish strong. To win this election, I need your help to make calls, hold an event or simply talking with your neighbors about the race. You can visit my website to volunteer on the campaign.
