The State Of Our County

On Valentine's Day, the Marion County Commissioners hosted the State of the County. Each of our three commissioners spoke about their areas of focus in county government. I encourage you to watch the address. It's a great way to understand better what is going on in our county.

Meeting with the Commissioners

Last week, I met with Commissioners Kevin Cameron and Janet Carlson. Commissioner Cameron and I discussed how we can further develop Marion County’s economic potential. Commissioner Carlson and I had a wide-ranging conversation about how to address the homeless crisis in Salem and the success of Marion County’s Reentry Initiative. I am grateful to both of them for their insight and leadership here in Marion County. Although Commissioner Carlson will be missed, I am looking forward to working with Commissioner Cameron next year.
